Hey guys,
First of I really like hip hop and rap music. This is not meant as a diss. Rather I wanted to know more about this topic. Initially, I thought this culture was African culture. However, I was watching a girl from Nigeria saying that she didn't like this kind of culture and her parents didn't approve of this either. Moreover, there were people from different African countries and they were talking about African Americans and they said, "Yeah, they have their own culture."
Moreover, what I found interested is that this, "Street Culture" is not unique to African Americans but its also embraced by some white american youth. For instance, I met a lot of white kids in NYC and New Jersey who talked like this and have similar goals(banging bitches, making money and buying expensive watches).
Finally, I was reading Julius Evola(nationalist philosopher with fascist learnings) who was saying in American culture there's an African influence. Again, this is not meant as a diss towards America since this guy is probably an extremist.
Instead, I was curious about this interplay between cultures?
