It's an interesting topic TBH and I don't think there was a thread dedicated to them before. I was curious about them myself. What do you think is the reason the Bunjevci and Shokci idnetities developed?

These folks are Croats

In the last 100-150 years most of them declared tmemselves as Croatians. Point is their deeper pre-Croatian origin/identity.

Bunjevci originated from central/western Herzegovina, area which was part of Serbia from 7th century to the year 1329.
