Northern Italians are somewhere close to half half I believe. Atleast most of them. Spaniards same thing.

And no there are no mainland italians that are 9/10 EEF except some sardinians.

Even 9000 years ago with the Middle East in Anatolia was a far warmer place the northern Germany and Poland

Well, Sicilians have a lot more steppe compared to the Bell Beaker Sicilian but also more post-neolithic "MENA" admixture so I don't think that's correct depicting Sicilians as only 10% Steppe that's definitely not true. All models with sicilians need 20/25% Steppe.

What I know is there is evidence that the EEF lifespan went drastically down by disease and unhealthy diets from an average life span of 60-80 right before the agricultural revolution to like 30-40 after it, the indo-Europeans weren’t affected by this until they adopted the habits of those they conquered, which even they didn’t do to quite the same extant, as indo-Europeans definitely loved hunting and kept that tradition alive.

Some people really have no clue to separate genuine european farmer from recent east/med admixture, which is basically mena.
There is also caucasus/west asian which came with Indo-Europeans but southeastern Europe/Italy has too much caucasus and too little EHG which means some chg came after bronze age as well.

well of course they did, but it certainly still made them weak enough to be conquered and ruled over by Indo-europeans till the Roman empire days, and even then they were culturally indo-european with a little EEF influence, and it is likely that at least in the early days, the noble families were more purely indo-european in the same way that until recently there was a huge genetic difference between caste in India
