    Rusyns are just Carpathian Ukrainians with Balkanite genetic influence, the rest are not. Odessa don't have anything to do with Rusyns.

    then, I think they guy in the OP best passes in the Carpathians within Ukraine (he mostly looks like a slightly Alpinized Dinaric). although Carpathian Ukrainians are still not as Balkanic looking as they are advertised - they look just what they are, East Slavic + West Slavic + slight German + slight Vlach. Austrian colonists with their near-Balkanic Med DNA % had almost the same impact as Vlachs in de-Slavicization of looks, if it happened here and there (less than said), not all brunet Rusyns are Vlach types, there's Austrian-looking Alpines as well.

    Eu nu am zis că el arată a rutean, el arată ca o persoană din Caucaz, am spus doar că rusinii de azi îs doar ucrainenii din Carpați, care diferă de restul ucrainenilor, aceastea nici nu-s cuvintele mele, dar am auzit așa ceva chiar de la unii din ei. Iar concentrația mai mare de bruneți și de persoane mai balcanice și mediteraniene la chip printre ruteni vine direct de la vlahi, asta se vede și genetic, dar și în toponinimia Carpaților ucraineni, în cultură, haine, mentalitate, tradiții, muzică, și unele cuvinte. Am citit destulă literatură pe tema asta (rusă, poloneză, română, engleză), iar unele rezultate genetice care s-au postat aici confirmă asta. Rutenii în mare parte îs slavi genetic desigur, dar au și vizibile influențe balcanice, în unele cazuri chiar îs foarte vizibile, mai ales de unde vin strămoșii tăi se pare că impactul lor genetic a fost destul de mare, acolo apropo s-au așezat urmașii lui Dragoș cînd Ștefan nepotul lui Dragoș și fiul lui Sas a emigrat în Polonia în 1365 dînd naștere la multe familii nobiliare din zonă (Rybotycki, Brzescianski, Buchowski, Hubicki).
