I’m sorry but I always gotta laugh when people say stuff like this, it just shows how fetishized the whole “Powerful and Noble Inca” trope is. Do people on here really believe that Peruvians and Bolivians are gonna make up and be like let’s make the great Inca empire again, as if the Incas are still alive and no I’m not talking about the Quechuas, I’m talking about the Inca empire which is extinct.

Well that’s what happens when Europeans colonize the entire Americas(and the world tbh). Eurocentric features become desired and hold to a standard

Lol that’s ironic, coming from a Spaniard, you guys should be the last people to judge when hundred of your full blooded Descendants are the most powerful in Latin American countries you know the homeland of Amerindians and mestizos

Comments like this is just straight up evidence how people find Amerindians(especially darker skinned ones) unattractive and always downplay Amerindian ancestry over the fact that most of them are mixed(that’s what happens when your entire homeland is colonized lol). Also lol at this being the person who found videos of whiteish Mexicans just to prove a point in my last thread to not be compared to place just as equally Amerindian as it. You can show someone while strong Amerindian features and people on here will be like “they’re mixed not pure native, real natives are ugly !!!!” Recycle and repeat and someone makes a thread like this and the same people show the most fakest sympathy I ever seen with they’re shorty white guilt. It’s embarrassing.

They died bro and new nations were made out of they’re former territory and the people claim more they’re new nationalities instead of some ghost in the closet(the Incas) because that would be stupid. The Incas are a historical group like the Vikings, not a real modern nation with actual laws, the Incas a re more of a brand in modern days in a way that they’re name and face is in tourist brochure, beverage name, nickname for sports teams etc. also what is you’re definition of claiming anything from the Incas?, most Peruvians can’t trace they’re lineage that far back and find out what inca are they’re related to due to lack of documents, it’s just a known fact that most Peruvians are related to the Incas because of our culture that’s it, it’s really not that deep. Incas are part of the Peruvian nationalism and get brought up out of pride, if you’re talking about owning more territory and enjoying riches then you’re unrealistic and naive. It’s literally the equivalent to the whole “we were Kings !!” A lot of African Americans use when they wanna feel good about they’re African ancestors and what they were like before they got enslaved

Well, in your case “we were Kings !!” shouldn't cause mere laugh like in the above mentioned case because the ancestors of the Peruvians were indeed great in some ways.
I don't talk about owning more territory and enjoying riches. I talk about being more progressive, intelligent. Do you think modern Peruvians are up to the level the Incas were 500 years ago? also given the Peruvians have the whole world to exchange the ideas with which the Incas hadn't.

I do not think, blacks in Latin America are already very much Hispanicized to the core, while Amerindians are not
we have hundreds of black artists, musicians, athletes, models, beauty contestants, scientists, past presidents, politicians etc, even in countries where they make a small minority
with indigenous people, we cannot say the same thing, we recently just had the very first indigenous woman on the cover of Vogue Latin America, we are in 2019!!!
yet there have been many black latina models on the cover or in the magazine pages
so to say they are quickly more absorbed than blacks, that is insane, they are not
Latinos are more fascinated with Cuba, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic than they are with Bolivia for example
here are examples
non-black hondurans dancing an afro-honduran dance
some pred euro Brazilian dancing a black brazilian dance
white Uruguayans practicing a black religion
a non-black argentine with black hairstyles, doing black music
