Gliszczynski family (which is my grandmother's maiden name) originated from Glisno near Slupsk:

Presumably they later moved to area of Pomarzany (meaning "town of Pomeranians") near Gniezno:

To answer the question you made on the chat box, no, I didn't have the opportunity to visit Słupsk . Looks like a nice city though. In the Pomerania Province I visited Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia and Malbork. The most westwards of Gdańsk that I went was to Poznań and the most eastwards was Suwałki and Białystok. I've covered most of the Polish territory either by train, bus or car but I didn't necessarily stop at every place unfortunately.

It is about time that I pay a visit to Poland again, I have friends that have done so since the last time we were there and they say I won't recognise half of the stuff, things have developed a lot in the last decade, especially the infrastructure.
