Default In your country, what are the main variables when it comes to transport fares?

In Britain, train, coach and bus fares vary depending on the time of day you travel and (in the case of trains and coaches) how far you book in advance. By contrast, in Spain train fares vary depending on the speed of the train on which you travel (i.e. AVE is far more expensive than a local service). How does it work in your country?

Bullshit. In Britain, trains are mostly used by the middle classes nowadays.

I guess the middle class in GB would be considered low class in the States. Even in an expensive city like LA, most people who can at least clear $3-$4K a month would never be caught dead taking public transport.

I would agree that buses and especially coaches are predominantly lower class, but not trains.

A coach? You mean a taxi or Uber? When I said public transport was for broke bitches I had buses and the subways in mind, like Metro. I think you guys call it the tube or something.

A coach in Britain means a long-distance bus. And in London, the tube is definitely more middle-class than buses are.
