MEPs from Cyprus: do they pass better in Southern Europe or the Levant?

Rather small sample. In general Cypriots stand between Greeks and Levantines though.

They are basically a Greek-Levantine mix.

They're in between, but more closer to the Northern Levant. The closest peoples of today's Cypriots are Syrian Druze, Lebanese Druze and Christians, Syrian and Romanian Jews, and Cretan Greeks and Kos Greeks.

People of Levant themselves are the non european descendants more close to look european IMO. So I think cypriots look closer to them, but thats does not make them so far of looking european.

Caucasus people and Turks are a lot closer to Europeans than are Levantines.

Their Christian population as well as Samaritans are the purest Levantines in that they didn't absorb as much foreign admix relative to their Muslim counterparts. They're at least recognizably different to Southern Levantines on average.

Aren't Syrians and even many Palestinians no different to the Lebanese?
