True, but those guys are already firstly American nontheless, therefore they wouldn't be so shocked, comparing to others. A random guy from America will always percieve himself as American and would mention his roots only when asked, this is actually a great thing America did, embracing all the cultures and making an own one so everyone can feel proud to be American. If this was the case and they wouldn't make something like that we would see school shootings and 9/11's every week.

Well I tend to say, there is culture and there is genetics, it's interesting if someone can feel connection to another culture, by blood, but if you doesn't grow up there or spent time there, then its not the same.

You are American, imo there roots come on 2nd place, which actually has it's perks. When people in US ask where are you from they don't ask your roots but actually state in US, which is cute. TEXAS BAYBEE

Of course. If I was raised as Serb in Serbia that is what I would be. Btw I'm satisfied with my DNA result.
