Do dreams/nightmares have a meaning?

Dreams are symbolic messages from other sources in different "dimensions" and planes. Not all dreams are solely yours, sometimes they come into contact with cosmological "things", depending on how far you delve into the dream realm. Meaning it penetrate your own conscious bubble and interact with other "things".

Some dreams come with such clarity, and even after writing them down they are hard to interpret as anything earthly. For the most part it's not chaotic, random and isn't nonsensical.

I believe that Jung is correct in his assertation that we receive messages in our dreams that we can no longer interpret. Some are just our own subconcious, of course, but that doesn't explain everything.

My dreams mostly seem to be my subconscious processing both superficial and also deep rooted fears, concerns, problems, etc.

Sometimes I can feel a little better about a problem after a good nights rest, perhaps this is part of the purpose/function of dreaming.

They are unresolved trauma, in German the word dream is even called traum.

You dream it so you can get over it.
