It's not gay at all for men to dye their hair. They have stuff called "just for men" and they use it to get rid of grey. It's semi permanent and doesn't wash out, but it fades when the roots grow.

No, the rule of thumb is men color their hair a shade lighter than their natural hair for best results. Coloring your hair is mainly to get rid of greys, so you want the same hair color, but lighter so it looks natural. If you color it darker people can tell usually that you colored it. For example, if you have naturally dark brown hair you would get medium dark brown Just 4 Men.
