I used to hear a lot of rap when I was younger though it wasn't these "gangsta rap" songs, it's not poetry at all. I've written a lot of poetry (I've stopped because I don't have a lot of time) and only "some" rap songs reach barely the bar of a "basic poem". The rest is just garbage.

Musically it's just noise to my ears. Especially compared to what Western music has made throughout the centuries. There isn't any comparison possible between the two, I deny to the rap the adjective "musical".

Gainsbourg said that singing is a failed symphony on a failed poem, rap is a failed poem on a repetitive beat.

The rural areas begin to be replaced as well, I live in a city that could be called rural, 5000 inhabitants with peasants, fields and forests, and there are non-europeans in good amount. The urban areas had lead these people to settle in peripherical areas or even further.

And rappers songs are surely a good sign of how french society is fallen and destroyed, these allogenes are giving credibility to far-right "theories" (that are rather the reality) by the way.
