Of course if there was not blacks in the USA/Europe then white teams/athletes would be competely dominant in most sports because of the strategic, technical superiority and level of professionalism that africans can never achieve/potentiate on their own because they are intelectually uncapable of creating the conditions to achieve excellence. But growing in an environment offering all the conditions to achieve a high level in sports then the natural genetic conditions will sooner or later impose their rule.

What is true for the physical/professional sports is true for the intelect/activities requiring high IQ and creativity, that's why given the same conditions blacks excel in many sports and fail miserably in activities/professions requiring intelectual capabilities. For the same reason the vast majority of NBA/NFL athletes are black and yet the vast majority of coaches/managers are white. Same with football, so many good black players but how many decent (not even good) black coaches/managers ?

    Answer: Genetics

Regarding cycling it is still a sport wich very low involvement of blacks, since it is a sport requiring a lot of stamina perhaps the east africans who grow on altitude (from Ethiopia and around) would be prime mountain cyclists, as we see they completely dominate long distance athletics (5000m, 1000m, marathon) wich require similar attributes. The strategy/technical factor becomes irrelevant because the team managers tell them what to do mile by mile and would be given optimal training conditions and top notch highly tehnological bycicles.
Maybe genetics is a factor, but the historical stereotype about brazilian soccer players is they're good at dribbling /have good technical abilities, more so than other countries. Many/most of their players have been black or black admixed, but I agree lack of successful black managers in nba, nfl and soccer is interesting.

So was I. Although union in England and Australia is usually seen as a middle/upper-class sport, there are pockets in both where there is significant and historic working-class support.

Yes the standard has dropped in the last years. One only has to look at national teams now and compare to teams of the last decades. They are all worse, the only exception being Belgium.

Regarding the "negrification" of football it's a reality in countries with a big black population from the ex-colonies, or on countries with massive immigration. I see it in Portugal, France, England, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany but not so much in Spain, Italy or Greece. I think the reason is that football is a very accessible sport and it's not very difficult to practice, you just have to be mildly athletic. It also pays very well. Other sports like cycling are more hard to get into and the money isn't as good.

The result is that for example in Portugal you have youth national teams that look like this:

With the future looking like this:

On the other hand in cycling it's even possible to find all-portuguese teams competing (something unthinkable in competitive football):

Athletics is also full of blacks competing for Portugal, even naturalized ones. However in other sports like handball, volleyball, or hockey i think it isn't as bad as football yet.

There is too much emphasis on physicality in football these days to the point where a lot of these players and teams look very mechanical when they play. Physically, football is at a very high level never seen before but true superstar individuals are less in number compared to years past imo.

For good or bad, the game has become more commercial and global than ever, but also on a technical, tactical and fitness level football is at it's peak.
