Who says those Germanic Y-DNA isn't Asiatic in origin? After all we have central Asians and America Indian people with haplogroup R. The latter does not look 'white'.
I mean, maybe the lineages are a result of ancient migration and admixture from very long time ago. So the paternal lineages could be Asiatic, but most autosomal dna is eventually ancient European. Hence the southern Germanic look.

The Hunnic warriors that went all the way across Germany and even got to France most likely did not make any noticeable genetic impact on Germanic people; no, the "pseudo-mongoloid" look of many people in Scandinavia, the British Isles, Germany, central Europe, and eastern europe is of a more ancient origin, which I would say was originally born out of intermixing with native peoples of northern europe.

This paper says that proto-Germanic arose out of a proto-Finnic substrate in the Pitted-Ware culture, which began at 3200BC. The Pitted-Ware culture arose out of the Funnelbeaker culture, which started in 4300 BC, right before the Indo-Europeans made inroads into northern europe. My guess is that the Indo-Europeans were responsible for the transition from Funnelbeaker-->Pitted-Ware, and as this proto-Indo-European language (my guess is that it was most similar to proto-Balto-Slavic) interacted with the native northern European seal hunters (who were more "pseudo-asiatic" in appearance), this pseudo-asiatic phenotype became an official component of all the different northern-European phenotypes we have today.
