    Aeta

    A people of Negritos (members of the Negritid race) indigenous to the Philippines. They are pygmy-sized, with dark chocolate brown skin, tightly curled black hair, very little body hair, flat, hyperplatyrrhine noses, medium-thick lips, and dark brown or black eyes. They are brachycephalic, with mean cephalic indices of 82 (for men) and 86 (for women), and there is little prognathism. The Aeta are similar in most respects to the Semang of the Malay Peninsula and the Andamanese (Andamanid subtype of Negritid) of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

    Aeta of Negritid type (from the Fischer Lexikon)

    Out of Europid types, Lappid?

    Lappids are very beautiful indeed

    I've just measured mine as it's quite small and narrow and it's about 3.5cm long and about 2cm wide. And my ears are only 4.2cm long at the longest measurement point. I think it's typical for a lot of UK people to have small, narrow, and slightly upturned or straight noses here and smaller features. Our narrow necks, shoulders, skulls and fingerbones are a bit smaller on average than most other Europeans I've seen.

    I've noticed black people also tend to have short noses - but the difference is they also have the widest and also the flattest noses I've ever seen, (especially Aboriginal Australians,) whereas north-western Europeans tend to have higher raised, narrower, pointy and straight or slightly upturned shaped noses.

    I've noticed Arab and Jewish people with very unusual shaped large noses that bend in the opposite direction... kind of like curved downwards in the opposite direction to our noses. I don't know if it affects their breathing. And Indian and Pakistani people tend to have that same nose shape too.

    The Komis who moved to the Kola Peninsula were mostly Izhma Komis (northern Komis who practice reindeer herding and who are mixed with Nenetses). I'm not sure to what extent Kola Komis are additionally mixed with Saami, Russians, or Kola Nenetses. However in Khrunin et al. (2013), Izhma Komis actually had slightly lower Mongoloid admixture than Komi-Zyrians.

    I additionally calculated how Caucasoid-like nose shape different populations had by calculating the average value of these six features:

    - nose profile (1 = concave, 3 = convex);
    - height of nasal bridge (1 = low, 3 = high);
    - flattening of nose (1 = flat, 3 = protruding);
    - direction of tip of nose (1 = upturned, 3 = downturned);
    - inclination of nasal holes (1 = almost perpendicular, 3 = almost parallel);
    - shape of nostrils (1 = round, 3 = oval).

    Finnish Saami ranked higher (i.e. less Mongoloid) than Chuvashes, Livonians, and Bashkirs.

    (nose shape (1 = most Mongoloid-like, 3 = most Caucasoid-like);population)
