In the meantime, the political liberalism of both the American and French Revolutions have of course been regarded as a model elsewhere.
Jihadist ideology start spread only after Soviet-Afghan war. Base for jihadists was formed from Afghan Anti-Communist insurgents, who were trained and armed by CIA specialists. Iranian revolution has nothing to them. I agree with Cuban revolution spreading Communist ideology in Latin America.
About American and French revolution: their ideology was liberalism and because of this they were supported by businessmen, who didn't want to play high taxes. But their impact was limited to American continent and Europe respectively. Asia and Africa weren't influenced by these revolutions.

    What do you mean?
According to Marxists social identity means more than ethnic or racial one. Poor Black mentally closer to poor White than to rich Black.

Industrial revolution - technology changes everything, makes people less dependable but more easily controlled
French revolution - changed socialpolitical norms
Chinese revolution - China is a massive country which also happens to be technologically advanced, the effects of its isolation are still felt today
Bolshevik revolution - changed the geopolitics and the social norms of Eastern Europe and parts of Asia, inspired the Chinese revolution
American revolution - initially it was a revolt against the English, later development of the USA is impactful but it is overshadowed by the French revolution
Iranian Revolution - localized revolution with notable adverse effects in the rest of Middle-East
    Cuban/Libyan - rather localized revolutions

For entire history of humanity power was controlled by three social groups: clerics, warriors and merchants. Most of the time those were separate specialized groups. Today they are more or less mixed with merchant component taking dominant position.

From that perspective French revolution was merely a struggle between merchants and warriors. Merchants had won.

Russian revolution was the first time in the history of humanity when common people were introduced to mechanisms of power. Not individuals but entire class. It was brief and didn't work as well as it was intended but it's fundamental shift of entire power paradigm.
