It's true. It doesn't matter how much society has changed. Women with top education and jobs don't want a husband who doesn't work. They don't want a failure. Especially women over 25.

Nobody’s talking about IQ when referring to differences between men and women. It’s at the psychological and behavioural level where we differ, we’ve evolved to do different things. Gender is definitely not a social construct, and any person that has studied psychology, anthropology or neuroscience that isn’t an SJW can tell you that.

We didn't evolve, but we were created with different purpose, strengths, and weaknesses. Men are better at certain things, and women at others. Today, women want a men who are good providers. But also the cost of living is much higher, and often times it is needed for both to work in order to support themselves (let alone a full family). A man is not on the market if he can't support himself, regardless of how good he looks. And a man over 40 not supporting himself, forget it. Unless things change for me, I don't think I'll be able to have wife and children, and I have learned to accept that.

He may be unemployable and poor, so there must be women willing to be with him and also adopt the role of provider for him. This is so funny, that you can't make it up. Young women under 25 who are more interested in a physical relationship may not care as much (as long as the guy wasn't a bum). But when women turn 25 and older, they feel their biological clocks ticking and their eggs are drying out. They want to get married and have offspring (either subconsciously or consciously) Physical appearance is only icing, on top of a good solid job and prospects. That is the truth, and I'm aware of it.

This is not a biological fact. This is a constructed gender identity. While men are only physically stronger biologically, there is no difference in mental state and intelligence. And nowadays many well paid jobs require emotional IQ and IQ not physical strength.

I agree that much of it's about a constructed gender identity; also, men and women are both well suited to earn high incomes. But, you've missed a few things: In the first place, women usually expect (even demand) that their man (and significant other) can and will produce a substantially contributory income to the relationship. It doesn't matter whether their expectations are based upon socially constructed construals, because we ain't getting none if the lady doesn't buy our goods.
