I think the only language to which the Romanian word "dor" can be translated is Portuguese ("saudade"); and while we also have "dor" with the same spelling as in Romanian, it just means pain.

"Csehül áll" = "To stand in a Czech way / To stand like a Czech" (literal translation) = "To be in a bad state / To be in a bad condition" (real translation)

To certain extent, yes. In Romanian, because is a language where the context means a lot “dor” can be translated in a multitude of ways. It can mean longing, nostalgia after a loved person/place/ moment/event etc. or an aspiration/ desire (in Ro also more used as "dorință"), wanderlust(e.g. "dor de ducă), pain caused by falling in love, physical pain and so on. I believe in Portuguese "saudade" refers mainly to a feeling of longing, right?
Not 100% sure if is etymologically related with the word "dor", but we also have “doină” which is a lyrical poetry specific to folklore that is usually accompanied by a musical tune. It is a literary creation that can express feelings of pain, mourning or love.
The tune sounds something like this:

In Romanian “dor” can sometimes only mean physical pain as well, maintaining the original Latin meaning. For example if one says: "Mă dor picioarele", it means “My feet hurt”.

Why Czech? Is there an explanation behind it?
