Proven: Bulgaria, Serbia, Turkey.
Unproven: Bosnia
Unproven ethnicity: Turkish, Kurdish, Arab, Assyrian.

But still can't be sure about percentages between Bulgaria and Turkey. Can't be sure about my maternal grandpa's roots: he was explaining stories how they were forced to migrate from Anatolia to Bulgaria in 16th century, but according to my DNA results I seem to be 80% from Balkan area. My paternal grandma is not from Balkan, so I can't be 100% sure, I go on searching.

Regarding my family's lore:

The official version is that an Italian immigrant to Dalmatia fell in love with a local Shtokavian (Serbian) woman and generated my paternal grandmother.

My understanding is that there was no Italian and that my maternal grandmother's maiden name is on account of Balkan (but not Italic) Romance.

Central and North Europeans usually have multiple origins, eg a lot of Germans have French, Polacko roots, Englishmen having Irish or Scottish roots. This usually does not happen in South Europe. Usually Spaniards only descend of Spaniards, Portuguese of Portuguese, Italians of Italians.

In fact those countries are way more multicultural/ethnic than Souther ones. There are few Europeans on Apricity let alone true non mixed ones.
