    It doesn't sound South Slavic. Very far from them. Sounds close to Polish to me

    Serbian still sounds Slavic but from all Slavic languages I get your point it's got a sort of ancient Indo-Europeany vibe to it. To me serbo-croatian sounds like a hard choppy version of Slovak.
