Traditional music of Bunjevci/Vlaji Croatians from Dalmatian hinterland (Serbs in denial) vs. Zagorci kaykavians (Slovenes in denial).

Bunjevci are Zbunjevci, they are confused. They think they are Croatians (except part Bačka Bunjevci), but they are not.

My genetics is much closer to Slovenes (Alpine Croats) and Hungarians (Panonnian Croats)
On G25 I get Slovaks first (Tatra Croats)

You are mongel of many nations. Your German and NW Croatian (aka Slovenian) admixture pushed you more northern than real average Dalmatian Croatian.

it was probably the opposite, Slavs lost their original name, and at one point all accepted the name of Sclaveni, which was just one subgroup of what we call "Slavs" today.
And maybe Slovenes and Slovaks descend directly from Sclaveni, so they never had a different name.
So in a sense Slavs could be named after Slovenians, not the opposite.

There were also Slovincians and Slavinia in Poland, and Ilmen Slovenians in Russia. They were part of the Polish and Russian states yet they called themselves specifically by the Slav name.
