    No, because simple things like food, toilet paper or medicine are ridiculously expensive in comparison to what they earn. So don’t take salaries as a measurement of quality of life. For example a Dove soap costs around $1.5, so by spending your entire monthly payment you’llbe able to buy 4 soaps..

    But most importantly, even if you bring tons of money with you, whats the point in being “rich” in a country that lacks everything? That’s no life.

    Yes, when oil prices dramatically fell a few years ago, the Chavista government decided to carry on with its social programmes through printing money, leading to the current travesty of hyperinflation and shortages.

    Interesting i spend 100 dollars sometimes when i go shoping groceries in Mexico for a week or 2...

    Oficialmente la policía cobra unos 500 bolívares (de la última reforma monetaria, ha habido muchos tipos de bolívares), que al cambio son como 1,50 - 2 dólares.

    Obviamente sobreviven cometiendo crímenes, pidiendo mordidas, robando o incluso secuestrando gente.

    Unos 4 millones de venezolanos han huído, que no emigrado, del país en los últimos años. Es el mayor flujo de refugiados desde la Segunda Guerra Mundial, en ninguna guerra ha habido tantos refugiados como en Venezuela estos últimos 5 años (y todavía huyen más y más, la cifra se quedará corta)

    Los venezolanos que quedan en Venezuela no sobreviven con 2 dólares (o 6-7 como ha dicho Reyzuh) al mes, básicamente sobreviven por la caridad del menguante sistema de reparto de beneficiencia alimentaria chavista, de ahorros que tenían, o de sus familiares en el extranjero que les envían dinero.

    Los únicos que están bien pagos son los integrantes del Ejército.
    Obviamente el régimen esa parte no la puede descuidar porque el día que haya malestar en el Ejército se le acaba todo el aire del que dispone.
    Digan lo que digan es básicamente una dictadura militar que viola los derechos humanos a todas luces y sin piedad.
    Y mientras el gobierno y su oligarquía cercana la juntan en pala.
