Deep Northeast Brazil

The Northeast is a very populated part of Brazil with almost 60 milion people and all persons are colonials with ancestries of around 300-400/450 years inside Americas, Its a very peculiar region with very strong culture and traditions. Every year milions of Southeast Brazilians travel to Northeast, but they only visit the big capital cities. The countryside of Northeast is still represented by midia with those stereotypes and mystic characters which I consider extremely awesome but not always represent the region. As I am probably the only Northeastern user of this forum I decided to post some videos of Northeast crowds beggining with Iguatu and Ipu. I will try to group several videos of Northeast people from small cities, everytime I find something I will post.









Iguatu is a typical sertanejo city located in the Central-South Ceará, a semiarid region.

Ipu is the city of a very important indian princess to Brazilian Folk Culture called Iracema, the city is located in western Ceará in the Ibiapaba region that is a border with Piauí. The european components are mainly iberian, but the region also had some colonial dutch, french and scottish presence, amerindian and african are also important to the population.

O Nordeste é uma região bem diversa racialmente e culturalmente que foi africanizada pela mídia. É interessante que alguns testes genéticos mostram uma alta porcentagem de componente indígena na população nordestina. Uma pena que a mídia afrocêntrica ignore a diversidade do Nordeste. A mídia africaniza o sudeste mostrando só o Rio de Janeiro e o Nordeste mostrando só a Bahia. Tem tanta coisa tanta culinária tanta diversidade. Pra mídia afrocêntrica que visa o lucro e só africanizar o Brasil só existe Salvador.

Concordo, Bahia e Maranhao são os mais diferentes entre os nordestinos. Mas o Oeste da Bahia pode ser aparentado tanto com o Leste bastante negro como também com o restante do Nordeste já que é uma área com influencias tanto do litoral baiano via Capital Salvador como do sertão de fato via aguas do Rio São Francisco que trouxeram varios pecuaristas sertanejos.
