The reality is both the genocide against the Armenians by the Ottoman Empire and the genocide committed by the states over the native Indian population of the continent. These are the facts, regardless of the reasons for which they were committed

The only counter argument is that this happened centuries before the Armanian genocide, and that in the eyes of Europeans, all native Americans were seen as savages by their standards. The peoples of Anatolia, however, lived in organized societies. In many cases in higher living standards than the Turks. So, in our eyes at least, a Jewish genocide or an Armenian genocide is a much more horrific occurrence in history.
