Most Amerindians and Indomestizos DO NOT look like SE Asians. This anthro legend must end...

There seem to be a popular urban myth circulating in anthroforums that Amerindians and certain Indomestizos can pass easily as SE Asians and vice versa. And I want to extinguish and dispel this anthro-legend.

As someone from Thailand myself, most Amerindians and Indomestizos LOOK NOTHING like SE Asians.

On average, only Brazilids, Istmids look like SE Asians and this is due to convergent evolution from both groups living in similar tropical climates which probably result in pseudo-Asiatic phenos and shared features such as very round face, big flat nose, very thick big lips, almond round eyes and very black straight hair.

On the contrary, Silvids, Andids, Pueblids, most Margids and Patagonids do not overlap with SE Asians at all.

Some examples of Amerindians who definitely cannot pass in SE Asia:

1. Evo Morales. He is likely a pristine/close to pure blood Andid Amerindian and he definitely cannot pass. His unique and distinct pseudo-Caucasoid like features such as sharp aquiline nose and robust face, thin lips would make him stand out from the crowd in SE Asia including Philippines.





2. Gerardo Taracena: Mexican actor who seem to predominantly Amerindian of Pueblid type. He also would very much stick out from the crowd in SE Asia. This is due to his distinctive Pueblid features which look Caucasoid-like such as sharp aquiline nose, very long narrow face, thin lips; these features are very different from SE Asians. Moreover, his wavy to curly hair texture would make him stick out as well.








3. Wendy Sulca. She is of Andid and also would not pass in SE Asia thanks to her uniquely Amerindian features. SHe might pass a bit better when younger but now definitely would stand out.






4. Soufian. This guy is actually not Amerindian or Indomestizos but look like one its freaking incredible (He is actually Moroccan from Germany). However, his look is very common among Pueblids and Andids and Indomestizos/Amerindians with his features would not pass/stick out in SE Asia

I am going to post pictures of SE Asians for comparison. Trust me. Most Amerindians and Indomestizos do not look like and would not pass in SE Asia. On the contrary, it is the same case vice versa as well. Majority of SE Asians, would not pass as Amerindian or Indomestizo.

Really? She is very ethnic looking in my humble opinion. Her elongated sharp nose, thin lips and narrow eyes would make her stand out here in SE Asia.

There is some overlap, but of course as groups Amerindians/Indo-Mestizos can be told apart from SE Asians without doubt.

The overlap is mostly confined and restricted to the Brazilid, Istmid, some Lagids though.

Whereas, other types like Silvid (there is some in far northern Mexico)Andid, Pueblid, Margid, Patagonid barely/do not overlap with SE Asians at all.
