Considering the stereotype that South Americans are obsessed with football, average crowds in most leagues there are not altogether impressive. (Possibly the poaching by European clubs - and increasingly US and even Chinese clubs - has contributed to a decline in standards and interest?)

Dude even our 2nd and 3rd lague got full stadiums.

Here you arent the fan of the most successfull club, but the club of your region/city and nothing else.

It helps that the ownership system of most German clubs is less impersonal and millionaire driven than in e.g. England or Spain.

Its a implemented law of our football federarion that 51% of the club ownership has to belong to club members.

RedBull fooled the system tho, they simply made the membership fee unafordable so all the members are part of redbull.

Ever since Swansea City was taken over by two American millionaires with little real interest in football, it has really gone downhill. Even in the Championship they now lose quite a few matches. Before that, its rise to the Premiership was remarkable - they had a vastly smaller budget than most other clubs in the league and were pred owned by the Swansea City Supporters Trust.

It kills the soul of the club.

But quite honest, the money they put in the Premier League made it to one of the best leagues ever.
From the revenue point it is the best league for sure.
