The will to power is a prominent concept in the philosophy of Nietzsche. Nietzsche contemplated writing a book entitled “The Will to Power” but never published a book under this name.
The will to power is neither good or bad; its a basic drive in everyone. The philosopher direct his will to power in the search for truth; the artist to create. At times Nietzsche seems to posit the will to power as more than just a principle that yields insight into the deep psychological motivations of human beings. In the Zarathustra he wrote: “Wherever I found a living thing, I found there the will to power.” This idea sounds a little rough to me, but I think its true.
