It was the Spanish and Portuguese, who connected the two worlds in a systematic, long-term manner, conquered the existing empires and began the Columbian exchange. So no, I won’t grant you your point. Even if I felt that generous, there already were old worlders making contact with America and its people, namely the Siberians living near the Bering strait.

Kinda appropriate in this case, as the marriage was a desperate way to seal an alliance with the Spanish, but guessing from your 'on the spectrum' posting pattern, you should be more concerned with Gupta empire, rather than the English one.
