Default Which country is hated most in sport? Which country do others want to beat the most?

In rugby's case it is usually England, despite the fact they are nowhere near as successful as either New Zealand or South Africa (especially taking into account their vastly superior player numbers, wealth and resources). This is mostly due to a couldron of various historic resentments and rivalries, especially from the other British Isles nations.

However, in other sports, which country or countries are hated the most? Who is seen as most imperative to beat?

Strongest ones, every basic human always cheers for the weaker team. Well anyways in football Brazil is very adored and hated at the same time. In Ice Hockey Canada is pretty disliked because they use cheeky tricks, imo everybody is just jealous because they are superior and know tricks because of high level of experience in the game.

There better question would be which clubs are most hated in each sports. For example Barcelona used to be very hated for several years or Bayern in Bundesliga... but this is another story.

Either way, few if any things excite even the most stoic of Welshmen more than this:

Yea in football Germany is generally hated

By dutchs but also the english, italians, brazil etc

Mostly because Germans used to be effective but the way they played wasnt attractive at all.

One of my favourite football songs covers the germans as antagonists

Football. We can forget about the war - they keep can keep the bikes they've stolen. We don't care. But 1974 - never forgive, never forget !

England rugby fans tends to behave like hooligans when they go abroad.

They're annoying, but not really hooliganish. Certainly there's no comparison with their football fans.

Being by far the most rugby-oriented Latin American country, do many Argentinians watch the Six Nations? Do they often take sides or not?
