I've never understood the appeal of looking like a member of a set.

I'm not suggesting said inclination is "wrong", just that I've never felt it post early adolescence.

I would never wear that haircut as it is not flattering to my face shape. Many people are too stupid to understand that haircuts, sunglasses, and facial hair has to compliment your face shape first and foremost otherwise you look like a jackass no matter what.

Different strokes for different psyches.

A hipster is near to one end of the spectrum, I am near to the other.

A hipster plots near to a socialite, I plot near to a homeless man.

I just feel too mortal to give too much of a fuck about my physical appearance.

Yes, the original hipsters came from white folks in the 1940s-50s wanting to be accepted my negro jazz musicians and the like. The negros called them "hip" the term could be considered akin to today’s "Ally" with the BLM.

Around 2009 when the "hipster" became part of American culture, with the flood of social media and Obama getting elected to office, everybody was falling all over themselves to be "unique" in their social media posting while at the same time conforming to the hive mind. However during that era, the males were still dictating how the girls dressed and behaved, it was unfortunately a shortly lived time.
