Default Anybody else hate dressing up?

I hate dressing in suites/tuxedoes/ties etc.
I know it's attractive to opposite sex but these days EVERYONE does it so what's the point?
Also everyone these days thinks they are some royalty, I rather dress like some peasant in jeans or sweatpants..., at least I can kick ur ass

Maybe where you come from everyone dresses formally, but in the US, a well-dressed man is a dying phenomenon. I always get dressed for brunch on Sunday with my Tweed jacket, Italian wool overcoat, Scala fedora, dress shirts, chinos, slacks, or khakis, dress shoes or loafers, gold tone watch, signet ring, etc. I always get treated with more respect and deference when I dress this way, not to mention the compliments. And if any of the hoi polloi want to flex, I carry a 4" knife on my hip.

Nothing wrong with dressing with a bit of style now and then.

Hmmm, maybe I have a weird complex I have to work through.
That or I value humbleness and modesty in dress

I like to dress up, but only when necessary. Also depends on what I'm wearing. If I'm wearing a pencil skirt, blazer and heels, I'm ready to put on pyjamas by noon.

My family criticizes me for dressing too casually.

They say my clothing habits make me look like a homeless man.

For me, clothing is a purely practical/legal matter (it exists to protect me from the elements and from the law, and that is all).

From late adolescence onward, I could never get enthused about or moved by, clothing.

When I was living with my parents I would often sleep with the dogs on the floor or outside on the ground.

At my most formal, I will wear black colored sweatpants and clean sandals.

Dressing formally can be fun for me because it’s not the usual. There’s a Gatsby themed party I’m going to in a few weeks and I am really excited to dress up for it.

But comfy casual is my usual go to.

lol I recently gatecrashed a Great Gatsby themed party in South Auckland, garbed as a homeless glue sniffer from the 1920s!

A profound part of the reason why I dress the way I do, is low self esteem.

Well get dressed up go for a drive and walk around your shopping mall and sit in a cafe and sip on a double shot latte just staring at your mobile. Should fix it.
