Work is like food. Not enough of it leads to dying. Too much of it leads to trouble. In modernity we do understand that something's wrong about a person if that person defines oneself by the kind of food enjoyed 5 times a day. Yet for some reason we don't extend the same consideration to those who define themselves by the work they do instead of who they are as a person. But maybe it should? At least for mental health reasons if not for wider intellectual reasons. Let's explore!
