no, European Christianity may not have been the best religion throughout history, but it took aspects of paganism and even pagan philosophy into its very core, such as the tri-part god which is very reminiscent of something like mortal Odin, hanging himself to himself, the mortal form of a god dying for the spiritual aspect's enlightenment. Christianity gave us some unity, and purpose, though I still believe it is not the best religion, but it is far better then Islam, which promotes a cycle of hostile takeovers and the dumbing of the population into mere cattle who pray so much it ruins even their very sleep schedule.

WWII was forced on the Third Reich by the Soviets, Americans, and British. Hitler did not wage war. Hitler wasn't all perfect and great by the way.

I'm not PC by any means, but the evidence clearly points out the Herr Hitler was responsible, directly or indirectly, for the death of millions people. He didn't just want to redress the wrongs, real or imaginary they may be, of the Versailles Treaty. By spring 1936 Germany had stopped paying the war reparations, had been allowed to rearm and had re-militarized the Rhineland . But he didn't stop there, he carried on an aggressive policy towards its neighbors, which were not a threat to Germany. If France and Britain really wanted to destroy Germany they would have declared war when it reoccupied the Rhineland in March 1936, at that time the German army was still very weak. It is very difficult to assess the exact numbers of losses during a war, but it is possible to get the overall picture, even if the victors may tend to exaggerate the sins of the vanquished. It seems to me that revisionists tend to focus on single trees but don't look at the forest - or choose not to.
