How tolerant are you to roma people?

I heard often that in america roma are the "hidden americans" that they hide their origins, whether that is a truth or not though. Also that americans sometimes perceive them not as "real people" but like cobolds or fairies and such, vampires. Or that anyone "can be a gypsy" a hippie, a nomad, a thieve etc. Not everyone can be a gypsy, not every hippie, it is biological thing to be a gypsy. What are your opinions and how in 21st century the societies as well as the roma themselfes should transform from century old stereotypes, views, opinions as well the as the traditions the roma themselfes still clinge to.

Never knew anything about roma or gypsies until I joined this forum. I think the first time I heard the word gypsy was when I watched Hunchback of Notre Dam as a child.

I think that is a balatant lie though. The roma need to change as well, some of their centuries old behaviours, traditions and such, but that only the roma are not tolerant, and the others are tolerant to the roma, I dont think that is the truth.

The gadji are not tolerant to the Roma, because of Roma behaviour, not because of the gadji's made up stereotypes or fantasies or hallucinations.

I dont think that attitude contributes to positive development rather to more hate. I dont think Im intolerant to you rather the other away around, that you are intolerant to me. It also reflects in your vs. my comments, attitudes and such.

This is not about you. You are a harmless mental pacient. I was referring to the large number of Gypsies involved in crime and anti-social behaviour.

But it is pretty much often about me, as Im a Roma and it reflects in the attitude and behaviour of the online community towards me, as well as the behaviour and attitude of people so far in real life. For example that I was excluded from companionship, or cultural events, is probably in part because of my roma blood. There is a large number of roma involved in petty crime, begging etc. But I think in 21st century they should transform some of their behaviour as well. I made the opening post saying it is a two way street you replied that is only a one way street, only the roma must change, no one else ever harmed them or discriminated them. I dont think that attitude contributes to positive development, rather to scapegoat the roma and put blame for further discrimination on the roma, as that affects all roma, that can only be discriminatory and doesnt contribute to any change of criminal roma behaviour. It is also not intended to be because it sounds pretty much racism. And racism is illogical.

I'm tolerant, but in my country they getthoise themselves and refuse to go to school (begging for money instead).
