If you think all my thoughts and opinions come from some sort of Turkish conditioning you are mistaken. My opinion here comes from my upbringing here in the Netherlands. I don't see a church, I see something that belongs in the Efteling.
The only thing I see in your writing that's Dutch is the liberal delusion that you are not a mirror of your race and culture but an individual with "independent opinion".

Every Turk and Turkic and Turcophile in this forum have expressed variations of the same exact opinion on the Greek Orthodox church and there's a reason beyond your "individualism".

It is double alien to me. From my Turk side as well as my Dutch side. I am culturally more Dutch than I like to admit. But combined yes I am an individual with an independent opinion.

The concept of the independent individual self is a delusion, a mask for what everyone basically is, an organic part of a community.

The reason behind the general adoration of the self today is because a person who conceives themselves as an independent individual will remain blind to the social relationships of humans behind products and will just go on buying and consuming and keeping the system healthy.

I am more than your avarage Joe though, I grew up not really belonging to any group, that forced me to think about things and draw my own conclusions. But even I don't live in a void so I'll give you that.

You got a good starting point here.

I would further tell you that underlying the social relationships of the Dutch and the Turks there is a whole racial and ethnic antagonism going on daily at all levels and you are the product of this antagonism between the two sides. Now, where many Turks I know abroad go full SUPERTÜRK to underline their ethnic identity as in contradiction with the natives you incorporated the two in some way.

This denotes to me that you have high openness and this is usually a mark for someone who is intelligent.

a good starting book I recommend is http://www.rebels-library.org/files/zizek_welcome.pdf
