I'm moving to Belgrade. Is it dangerous to be Croatian in the heart of Serbia?

Da, druga godina na Pravnom Fakultetu u Beogradu. Čuj staro, tridesete (pretpostavljam da imaš tridesetak čim predaješ, pretpostavljam docent, mada izgledaš kao da si i sama student ) su najbolje godine, čovek je još uvek mlad a opet je mnogo bistriji nego u dvadesetima (bar bi trebalo )

Oh, hvala. Ekšli ću sad 28, ali da jedva čekam tridesete - jedva čekam. Dvadesete su živi očaj, izgubljen si, ništa ti se ne da, počinješ radit, shvaćaš da ništa nema smisla itd. Sad se već nekako mirim s tim.

Why not? I'm not Belgrade fan, but it's my own taste, it's ok generally, it normally attracts people from region and abroad. I lived in Novi Sad, 2nd city, for years, it's great. Any Serbian town is way ahead of any Albanian anyway, most of Albanian cities and towns look either poor condition or tasteless refurbishment (or its abscence at all) of Hohxa era block architecture. I've been to Shkoder, it's just ugly. Some mix of communism, tribalism and kitch with cables hanging all over the streets. So, you just project your attitude to Serbs in this case.

I have option to work in Russian company in Belgrade, I won't do it right now, but later i'd consider it again, would love to come back to Serbia where I spent majority of time between 2011 and 2016.

But you're also a well known Serbophile who openly defended Serbs here no matter what so it's ironic you talk about my attitude. Serbia is a poor country and many Serbs are leaving Serbia. I'm from Kosovo and used to live under Yugoslavia so I know what Serbia and Yugoslavia is like. It's literally a shithole. If it was so great we would of never seeked independence. Villages and towns are getting depopulated. Just like in many parts of the Balkans but according to Serbs , Serbia is a great country everyone else in the Balkans is poor.


Who even knows when you were in Albania, I'd rather live in Albania than Serbia. At least Albania has nature, mountains and the coast towns like Saranda are absolutely breathtaking. Croatia is better than Serbia, it also has the coast like Montenegro and Albania. I have been to Dubrovnik, far more beautiful than any area of Serbia I have ever seen. But let's not forget these used to be all Illyrian lands. These Slavs just got lucky in where they settled pretty much.

Even Serbs go to vacation in Albania. Even that nationalist Serb 'Varda' was in vacation in Albania LOL. In Tirana I see Serbian chicks. I would never in a million years go to Serbia for vacation . I'd rather go to Montenegro where there are Albanians and Montenigrins who live peacefully with Albanians . Or I go to Croatia in Dubrovnik .
