My position is that war is not a sport where we pick sides. The act of picking a side is a retroactive endorsing of the war in itself and a type of false masturbatory participation.

Whatever happens, the goal of a nation such as the Greek one is not to become an object or appendage to another ("Greesh ash part of Nato must shupport de US hue hue") but stand for ourselves on our own ground and what is beneficial to us and our country.

A position which of course has been eroded by the same forces which are now pushing for this war.

Nationalists should care at the first place about their country, Iran-USA it's an affair between them, European countries have nothing to do there.

We should follow the example of Switzerland that remained neutral and free from those useless conflicts used to reinforce american domination.

Thank you for your reply. This is actually the other end of the spectrum and equally wrong.

Why is it wrong? Well, what will happen between the USA and Iran is not going to happen only in some computer server in Romania, but it's going to have domino consequences which will sooner or later reach both Greece and France. The waves of refugees are caused by the USA destabilizing a bunch of countries in MENA.

Let's say NATO is Youtube. The USA just wants you to cycle through recommended videos so that you start from a video about cats and after 3 hours end up watching a VOX video on the beauty of diversity. The other position is to go all Amish on Youtube and block anyone from accessing the website on all your devices.

What you want is to learn how to use the search bar and find the videos and channels that will provide you with rich dense content which will help you go forward as a human.

In a similar way, what I am saying is not "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS LOL". I am saying that we should be actively involved in this conflict but as REPRESENTATIVES OF OUR OWN NATIONS. Put questions forward: "HEY USA!! WHAT IS THE EXPECTED INFLUX OF REFUGEES WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE IN ADDITION TO THE ONES WE ARE ALREADY TAKING BECAUSE OF YOUR WAR AND ARE YOU GOING TO GIVE US MONEY TO COVER THESE COSTS?" instead of opening a beer can and treating the whole thing as some kind of sports match: " WOOOHOOO GO TEAM AMERICA".

I don't think Greeks and Persians have had many interactions since the expansion of Islam over 1400 years ago. Iran was a rival of Ottomans for centuries, once Iran reasserted itself as a nation.
