I wouldn't do it, it can destroy your collagen and age your face prematurely. From a study:
Moreover, collagen synthesis measured in lattices is reduced to about 50% of that found in monolayer cultures.
In monolayer cultures, there was approximately a 30% inhibition of collagen production with 5 ng/ml bFGF, 0.1 ng/ml VEGF and 100 ng/ml minoxidil.

I've been on it for over 4 months now and to give the simple answer: Yeah it does enhance existing beard growth and stimulates growth if there isn't any hair already. I had nothing prior, only a soul patch and stache. Completely hairless where the beard should grow. Hair has been growing under my chin and on the sides of my face to the point it's becoming noticeable, but the mistake I made was using only a third of the recommended amount for the first 3 months (the 1 month bottle lasted me well over 3 months lmao). I started using the right amount with my new bottle and growth definitely increased

As for the side effects for the first 2 months I felt very tired and lethargic constantly to the point I could barely function, even with the heavily reduced dose. But after a while they tapered off and now I feel just like normal with no issues at all, not even itchy skin like some people report

I'm going to give you a natural treatment that I heard time ago and it seems it works if you are constant.

You have to make your own cream, you have to mixture cinnamon powder with lemon juice. Later spread it on your face and let it about 20-30 minutes. You have to do it at least one time per day and everyday.

I'm using a special formula on my scalp to prevent balding, it includes minoxidil along with other components. I think it works, sort of but it's not the same pouring minoxidil drops on your scalp than on your head, sounds a whole lot riskier imo. Also, application must be constant and it should be performed twice a day for better results.

Visit a dermatologist and ask them for advice.

I don't intend to use minoxidil long-tem, I hope the new hair stays put. I'm using it for 3 months and that's it.

Or that's my wish at least. It's a pain in the arse to follow this routine on a daily basis and hair feels weird. Once I stop using it, it sort of gets a relief from too many chemicals and looks non-wet and strong. Good thing we're in a lockdown.

You can tell it affects blood pressure, sometimes I can feel how veins dilate on my scalp and for the first few days the scalp might feel itchy/turn red. Blood flow is said to promote hair growth.

It'll take you more than 3 months of use to grow terminal hairs on your head. I would recommend using it for at least 8 months and then seeing how well you fare while off minoxidil, if the hairs start shedding then go straight back to the treatment.

The initial reception your body has to the change in blood pressure should go away after a few months. It's a pain in the arse while it happens though, I know. Another pretty common side effect is growing hair elsewhere on your body, but it will take longer to come about. My brother like you used it only on his scalp and ended up growing noticeably more facial hair after almost a year of use. As for me (only using on face) my scalp hair appears to have better coverage and the tops of my hands are growing hair

Absolutely, very nice member. He personally requested a ban. He put a note to all on his profile page (visitor messages).
