I believe that these bushfires are real climate events and that millions of animals could have perished in the fires, but these estimates citing anywhere between 250 million to 1 billion animals, I don't see how that could be possible. Sounds like sensationalism to get attention. This ultimately does a disservice to a very serious series of events.
