    Default Kosovo described as Bulgarian

But ..... but ..... I thought Kosovo was always Serbian ''holy'' land ?

The region of Kosovo was incorporated into the Bulgarian Empire during the reign of Khan Presian (836–852). Numerous churches and monasteries were constructed after the Christianization in 864. It remained within the borders of Bulgaria for 150 years until 1018, when the country was overrun by the Byzantines after half-century bitter struggle. According to De Administrando Imperio of the 10th century Byzantine Emperor Constantine VII, the Serbian-populated lands lay to the north-west of Kosovo and the region was Bulgarian.

PS. I have read the whole De Adinistrando Imperio

The difference between Serbs and Bulgarians is less than difference among the citizens of Athens. Here and there you'll find a Bulgar or Romanian with Turanid features, but it's all the same people.

    It's technically the same people.

i already explained this to you on your previous account.

btw, when all Serbs were temporarily under Bulgarian rule, under emperor Samuel, there was no mention of Serbs. All Slavic speakers in the Bulgarian empire were called "Bulgarians"
same goes when Serbs later conquered Bulgarian terriotry. all Slavic speakers were automatically called "Serbs".

According to De Administrando Imperio of the 10th century Byzantine Emperor Constantine VII, the Serbian-populated lands lay to the north-west of Kosovo[a] and the region was Bulgarian.

During the Uprising of Peter Delyan (1040–1041), Kosovo was briefly liberated and during the Uprising of Georgi Voiteh in 1072, Peter III was proclaimed Emperor of Bulgaria in Prizren from where the Bulgarian army marched to Skopje.

In the beginning of the 13th century, Kosovo was reincorporated in the restored Bulgarian Empire but the Bulgarian control faded after the death of Emperor Ivan Asen II (1218–1241).
Prizren was recorded as 'Prisdriana' by Bulgarians in the 11th century

Some claim it is a pre-Slavic name taken from the Prizren fortress

Present-day Prizren is first mentioned in 1019 at the time of Basil II (r. 976–1025) in the form of Prisdriana

Nothing new, that's what I was saying for years. It's very wierd only Serbs claim Kosovo. When this territory was under several kingdoms/contries etc.

    Greeks, Bulgars, Ottomans/Turks, Dacians/Romanians, Italians/Byzantine/Romans.

In fact Niš was a Bulgarian city for several hundred years. And Serbs first occupied current Bosnian territory rather than central/S Balkans.
All Albos/Greeks and Serbs have rather wierd type of movement around the territory historicaly XD

The Serbs started claiming Kosovo only in the 19th century during the formation of nationalism. That's also when the first battle was adopted as a national defining moment.
Their aim was to extend the borders of then Serbia and to recreate the Serb medieval empire. Skopje was seen as a Serb capital. Their plan was to also settle Serb colonists in Macedonia, forcibly
Serbianize the Slavs there and expel Albanians.

They wanted the coast of Albania. Literally any country or empire could make these kind of claims.

Northern Albania was occupied and settled by Serbs and Central/Southern Albania was occupied by Bulgarians. Also Greeks had a rule. But Albania came quickly to be dominated by Albanian
principalities and these principalities held Epirus at one point, Western Macedonia such as the Gropa family and Albanian principalities were operating at the border of Kosovo constantly, some sources claim Prizren was held by the Kastrioti and Western Kosovo by the Dukagjini but it's a part of history we know little about.

Many Vlachs were also pushed out I believe from these territories.

Albania, Kosovo etc gaining a large Slavic population obviously never happened naturally. yet hilarious how all the problems are blamed on Ottomans.

Basically just some Slavs settled in the Balkans by the Romans/Byzantine.

Unlike Kosovo which wasn't part of Serbia in the (19th-20th century), Bosnia was ethnically mixed . The Serbs that settled there were Ottoman mercenaries. There were also Serbs already before in Herzegovina.

There is no destruction the Ottomans created that these people didn't.

No traces of Bulgarian people in Kosovo. If it was part of Bulgarian Empire in some part of history, it doesnt mean it was settled by Bulgarians.

Serbian Empire in 14th century was all to south toward Peloponese, and noone clame Greek Thessaly or Albania as Serbian.

Kosovo & Metohija were settled majority by ethnic Serbs in medieval times, and there are only Serb traces in this area to this day:

All these Serbian Orthodox monasteries are older than any presence of Albanians in Kosovo.

I don't even care about that place nor do I want to live there but I certainly do love to speak up when I see unjustice.
That place doesn't belong to you just like any other land in the Balkans.

Basically just some Slavic tribe that was allowed to settle in the Balkans by the Romans

In some small territory called 'Rashka' where even the old name for a Serb 'Rascian' comes from.

    Raska
    White Serbia

Somehow managed from there to invade and colonize Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia etc in the late medieval period and expand East wards into Nish.
(While genetics and archaeological evidence shows Albanians have been living in the Balkans for thousands of years)

And now claim they are the original inhabitants whose lands have been stolen. Hilarious.

    Ottomans my ass.
