Culturally Greeks currently belong to a cluster I am calling "pseudo-westernized Anatoli-Mediterranean", indeed Balkan influences and attributes are clearly contained into the cluster but mainly they are actually reminiscent of essentially Arabized Italians without the Alpine culture into the package, which is closely shared between Italians and Swiss which is subsequently akin to the luxurious-minded, organizingly sophisticated but laid-back Central European culture. Extensively Greek culture back in 2000s and early 2010s, especially in Northern Greece, belonged to the Greco-Serbian cluster but mainly where I lived and grew up.

Greece is consideared western because was part of the capitalist-west bloc during the cold war (same appliesto Czechia)

But they are Eastern because are orthodox, do not speak romance or germanic lenguages, didn't had relation with the West during a long long time (Byzantine Empire + Ottoman domination, they do not have romanic or gothic cathedrals for example) and genetics.

Also because West is more prestigious and greeks want to belong the group.
