De partij van de diversiteit en de gelijkwaardigheid voert tóch een ietwat andere koers als het gaat om Surinamers en Nederlanders. Bij Keti Koti vandaag mogen alleen de eerstgenoemden kransen leggen. De tweede groep mag alleen van een afstandje toekijken, zo heeft de grote VJ besloten.

Wie niet in Amsterdam woont heeft het vermoedelijk gemist, dus bij dezen: vandaag, 1 juli, is Keti Koti. Een feest waarmee Surinaamse Nederlanders vieren dat de slavernij in 1863 werd afgeschaft. En dat men zich in de negentiende eeuw heeft ontdaan van dat mensonterende systeem, is méér dan goed. Slavernij was onmenselijk. Verder ook geen punt om dat eens per jaar te herdenken, toch?

Maar je kan natuurlijk ook overdrijven. Door de gelegenheid te misbruiken om mensen geld uit hun portemonnee te kloppen, of door de dag te vieren door ‘niet-Surinaamse Nederlanders’ voor één dag een soort tweederangsburgerschap te bieden.

Dat is laatste is echter precies wat men bij BIJ1, de partij van Sylvana Simons, doet op Keti Koti. Ter ere van de herdenking mogen de bloemen namens de partij alleen gelegd worden door “onze Surinaamse BIJ1’ers”, aldus partij-oma Anja Meulenbelt op Facebook. Naast oprichtster Sylvana Simons zijn dat kennelijk de voormalige gemeenteraadskandidaten Glenda Vijzelman en Vayhishta Miskin.

Buitengewoon ironisch, want wie hun voorstelpraatjes op de partijwebsite opzoekt, leest dat Glenda graag “meedenkt over diversiteit” en Vayhista meent dat de politiek “een afspiegeling van de samenleving dient te zijn.” Right. Alleen niet op Keti Koti, want dan is het Surinamers boven… en de rest telt niet mee.

Honestly when I read stories like in the OP, I just think the core problem is how the Dutch (like many European populations) don't have hardcore groups to protect them. It has to be said but if you had a dozen brutal neo nazis bashing these guys' heads in the minute they looked at a Dutch wrong, none of this would happen.

Sweden is a good example of that. There were neo nazis at late 1980's and early 1990's ... and they fought against (rising numbers of) immigrants. It is not a huge surprise, that most of those fights happened exactly in Skåne (Southern Sweden, Malmö). But nothing changed as those neo nazis where judged as criminals and Sweden's immigration policy continued like it had been.

But nothing changed as those neo nazis where judged as criminals and Sweden's immigration policy continued like it had been.

And even accelerated. And I probably know why they did it: in order to further humiliate the population and make them understand that every resistance would be crushed.

What I mean is a solid core of young White men who would give a solid beating to these scum.
I just took the neo nazi as example because those guys can really scare those immigrants, but could be any plainclothes group really.

In any Asian country, if you are a foreign and fuck with the locals, the entire town will come down on you and beat the living F out of you.
This is why Blacks and Arabs don't F too much with Asians in Asia or Russians in Russia.

Seriously these Moroccans need to taste the pavement a couple times and learn fear, that's the missing equation.

There's president Menudo! Did he call both him and Trudeau weasels? Seem to be following OK thus far. Wonder how much trouble learning this would be. God. I'd easily understand this better if it weren't for those g's. Just watched the whole thing, don't know whether it was because he was entertaining or because it's easy enough for an anglophone to follow much of it.
