One thing is sure in such a union you could shake your Franco and Salazar Roman Catholic authoritarian wet dreams, doesn't have have a single connection with the Nordics.....

Actually - it would weaken the North substantially as you would lose just about your entire technological industrial base along with Eindhoven and much of your petrochemical works the moment you lose Moerdijk and the Chemelot plants just south of Geleen. The North would lose one port, two airports, three airbases, just about half the units in the military etc.

Multiculturalism can work with cultures that suitable with each other. However I don't prefer it because it loses the charm and uniqueness of the culture (unless the culture is being upgraged like it happened in the Hellenistic Middle East).

As if they would be willing to work with you. Bremen and Hamburg are competitors to Rotterdam and are oriented more towards Scandinavia. Schleswig-Holstein looks more at Denmark. And let's not forget that Holland turned Groningen into an economic disaster zone (and the above piece is just propaganda). This is also why I believe that you were lying about being a farmer: there is the city Groningen and there is the province. The city looks pretty while the province stutters and suffers while Holland runs off with the gas and destroyed valuable agricultural land for a failed project (Blauwe Stad). Let's not forget that "life is so good" that much of the Eastern half of the province votes for the f... Communist Party. Groningen City itself votes for the far Left as well.

It would only be the last remaining miles. And what that would mean ? That Antwerp would become a direct competitor to Rotterdam (particularly with nearby ports near Terneuzen, Gent and Moerdijk. Bergen could also be developed. What you would then see is a direct competitor.

It would change a lot because you'd essentially be a little island. You would just be lorded over even more directly by Holland for as long as the gas lasts while being force-fed migrants.

That's now also the case, that's why we have a complete range of urban facilities. Almere is almost as big as Groningen, but has not that city life, theater, university, academic hospital, all because in Almere the city of Amsterdam is nearby.

But that's because Almere is a suburb of Amsterdam. Groningen will collapse when the gas runs out since you already got rid of your industrial base a long time ago.
