How do you know how to classify people? Is Phenotype according to race scientists a real thing? It's very strange how you all know how to classify a person based on the way they look. How do you do it and do these classifications have any basis in real life?

Best way to determine phenotype is the old school way. Calipers and ruler measurements of head, eyes, nose, etc...

-we learn classifications mostly by reading the old books on the subject and then try to find the closest approximations. Putting some logic.
-classification is for fun, but in a way it also use le to speculate about people movements, ethnicities, similarities etc. and this sometimes leads to interesting observations.
- This classifications have a basis in real life. People across the world have different looks that anyone can observe. More difficult is to recognise the differences in skull and body hair texture etc.

Phenotype is a physical expression of your genotype aka your look, it's real of course, however as with any classification anthropological one has it's limitations.

1 - It's not serious at all because the concept of phenotypes isn't too reliable all the time and many traits can misguide you, specially on real mixed people like me for example; 2 - You can have people from different places having different phenos; 3 - Most people commit errors when blind testing or just use your background to make give you info because it's more secure; 4 - People use it as a metric for races while can be real differences at Autosomal between 2 people with same classification (like a Berber Gracile Med x Southern French Gracile Med, or a Portuguese Alpine x Balkan Turk Alpine, etc).

For those of us who really don't care to read those books and in my opinion is used as a racial justification for the physical/attractive superiority any one group whether it be black, white, asian, or hispanic (mostly white). Why don't all you non humans deal with the fact that mixed race people without an identity and with superior human qualities, due to them not being part of a monolithic race or clan of monkeys, are the most beautiful and most affected human species on earth, they are the only true humans actually. Humanphenotypes is of course fun to look through and guess with which we do not know. We can't know everything. I assume a lot of you are anthropology geeks and know it all resource encyclopedia types. Correct me if i'm wrong.
