Women covers half the population of the world. I don't know the women you personally know but woman are all different. Attention seeking depends on your personality not your sex. I personally hate attention and will avoid situations where this happens. You can't make blanket statements about gender, nationality, race etc. We are all individuals.

Attention/validation seeking is the telltale trait of a girl, a woman should be content with herself without needing external male approval, especially women who are married. Granted, many older women still do end up taking drastic action to garner attention such as unnecessary plastic surgery, swinging, instagram thottery etc but eventually they find happiness within their own skin.
