Gods way of depopulating the planet without world wars.

I have friends in Australia in their 30s well educated and are single - 30-40 years ago that would not be the case. Same goes for my cousins in Greece.

Times have changed - but mens health is in serious danger from developing prostate cancer too early in their lives.... they just need to make sure to blow their load regularly.

Women becoming more manly and men becoming more girly is also a factor....not sure why that is. If you want this epidemic to go away then something tragic needs to happen to bring people together like a war on an epic scale.. people are just happy being selfish and materialistic and lost their way - its not their fault just the way the world has become.

The divorce rate in America is near 50% :

As they say, loneliness is not a state of environment but a state of mind.

Usually loneliness doesn’t bother me at all because I’m not bored with myself.

I always conduct an internal dialogue with myself and I can say that inside me even there are not only two but several participants of the inner conversation.

Actually I have a few internal "me". The most active of my internal "me"s usually reacts briskly to the outside world and likes to make different comments about what he sees. The other one usually acts as a laconic interlocutor who from time to time assentes or on the contrary does not agree with the first one. These two can talk with each other for long hours.
Finally there is an inner philosopher who is always absolutely calm and he thinks a lot and sometimes speaks some things about the conversation of the previous two or in general. And this philosopher is so estranged from me, as if he did not give a damn about me and what could happen to me. And that complete estrangement of my inner philosopher from me sometimes plunges me into a state of amazement and shock. I remember for example there were cases when I literally was dying from pain and felt so bad, but at that same time my inner philosopher might quite calmly think and reason on some abstract unrelated topics.

Not even remotely in Greek culture at least. Married for 10 years and have four brats - wouldnt want it any other way. I consider myself lucky but divorce rates in Greece or with Greek couples is the lowest in Europe.

I have a love hate relationship with loneliness.

Those who do not fix themselves deserve to be punished. Life is an exam. People fail if they do not prepare well.

I wouldn't be that harsh. It's not working like button with turn off and on, otherwise it would be too easy to fix.
Also I believe there is cultural difference in various parts of world regarding this problem.

And I do not believe in this new standard of lonely by choice. Either these people are lying to themselves or to others because we as species are not built to enjoy loneliness.

I believe they become like that after fails they faced.
But I was talking about being alone and apart from others during eg. day not as being single.
