Sorry for my obsession but I cannot eradicate this inquiry from my head.

It could be possible. Here's my observation. Native americans, or even mixed mestizos/harnizos usually have more robust faces imo. A lot of them have a strong, sort of mixed european look (in my perspective). Chances are, you can identify a mestizo/harnizo and you can also identify a central asian.

If they look something like this, then they would be mistaken, I think:

    Nah
"Wearing feelings on our faces while our faces took a rest
We walked across the fields to see the children of the West
But we saw a host of dark skinned warriors
    Standing still below the ground,
Waiting for battle!" (Supper’s Ready, Genesis)

Yes, I think you can find more overlap with South Asians in general. IMO Central Americans are darker than Central American and look different.

TBH I think the overlap of lighter south Americans is insignificant with Central Asians.

Hmm, so light skin Latin Mestizos overlap more with South Asians than with Central Asians?

What about with MENAs? Do Latin Americans also overlap with them more than with Central Asians?

Its very ironic and paradoxical because Lat Am. Mestizos should be genetically a lot closer to Central Asians than they are South Asians as they are both Caucasoid-East Eurasian (South Asian AASI is also sort of East Eurasian but very distinct) mix.

You could be right. Although I believe a few of the more Caucasoid leaning light skin Latin Americans might overlap if they do not show Amerindian or SSA influences.
