Default Why do Serbs in Bosnia are trying HARD to speak Ekavian dialect?

I've met multiple Serbs in Banja Luka and surroundings who are TRYING HARD to speak Serbian Ekavian

Do they feel more Serbian while doing so?

Are they illiterate so they don't know that most of Serbs always spoke Ijekavian dialect?

To me, they look funny. They have no idea how stupid they look. Emperor Dusan, Nemanjic Family spoke Ijekavian dialect.

My parents, as native ijekavian speakers, were in their 30ties when war broke out and we immigrate to Serbia.
They now speak fully ekavian after decades living in Serbia. Only some phrases are ijekavian.
I think it is not difficult to switch from one Serbian dialect to other.

Nobody among Bosnian Serbs speak ekavian, except few TV presenter on BN TV.

Ekavian doesn't exist among BiH Serbs.

Among Serbs from Croatia only 2 villages around Vukovar spoke ekavian, not even 0.5% of total Serbs in Croatia.

They began using ekavian in elementary schools in Banja Luka after the war but stopped long ago.

I wonder why there are serbs in Bosnia still. Don't they hate you to genocide all? It's like Nazis living in Israel.
