I agree. We are our people and to be quite honest, we are quite distinct in alot of ways from our neighbours. We are quite strong headed, aggressive, tough, filled with honor and pride in terms of personality traits that our neighbours ( Persians, turkic central asians, and indo aryan south asians) do not quite possess. Physically I would say we stand out. Most have a hindu kush type look with very symmetrical and sharp features, with light pigmented hair and eyes not being uncommon. Genetically we also seem to be disticnt forming our own cluster.

When you talk about Afghans there are many types who look and cluster differently like Hazaras and Pashtuns. Hazaras would be among other central Asians like Kazakhs and Uygurs. Tajiks, I dont know as much about them but from what I undertstand they range from being like Tajikistani Tajiks to Persian-like to Pashtun like.

By afghans I'm referring to Pashtuns and Tajiks proper. So tajiks from badakhshan( includes Pamiris), parwan, panjsher etc. Hazaras, uzbeks and turkmens are all turkic afghans.

Eurasia is the largest continent in terms of population, with the most genotypes and phenotypes alongside a diverse ecosystem and environment.
