These emperors more ethnically akin to Romanians and Albanians than to Serbians. The only ethnical Serb who bore title of Roman emperor (Цар Срба и Ромеја) was Stefan Dusan.

This is just speculation without concrete proof.

Serbians and Romanians are basically the same thing, Serbs being more Celtic influenced.

I find it very pompous and disingenuous to use the tag Serbian to Ancient times, when obviously there was no such thing then. Moesia should have been used for its proper historic context.
